Marketing Tech Evolving Faster than Marketing Efforts

Very interesting article but to be expected that marketing departments like any other enterprise legacy department are evolving much more slowly than the technology coming at them. In fairness marketing technology is growing exponentially without bound similarly like the number of cyber security solutions without regard to the ability of any department marketing or security to cope with all the issues at hand.  My point is that marketing departments are organized backwards rather than saying “what should we look like five years or beyond.”  They should be incorporating “social selling” which is a five-year process now.
